There is growing evidence that large-scale scientific infrastructures yield the best results when built and operated sustainably and as a global collaborative effort. The FCC initiative aims to create an open international collaboration that fosters a geographically balanced and thematically complementary network of contributors. Embracing the global science and technology community through an open and incremental participation process, this inclusive approach is the first step in creating an international platform for realizing a next-generation, pioneering particle physics research infrastructure, leveraging existing assets and experience.

The FCC Global Cooperation Working Group develops a globally coordinated strategy of convergence activities involving participants from the European Research Area (ERA) and beyond. Organizations from North America, South America and Asia are invited to participate to lay the groundwork for subsequent development actions within the framework of the FCC project that will strengthen the European Research Area as a focal point for global research cooperation.
